The first album, before they changed their name to Atomic Ape
Orange Tulip Conspiracy is a project by Jason Schimmel that was later renamed Atomic Ape when the lineup and musical direction changed up a bit. Similar to his former band Estradasphere, but darker and way less goofy. I really enjoy this strange cinematic album.
Jason and Loraine worked out several ideas with her camera and came to me to lay out the project and come up with a cover. The band was not yet named and there were lengthy deliberations. I ended up doing a hand lettered logo and a photo collage of Loraine’s photos for the cover.
